These packings are ideal for packing ovens and boilers of all kinds, and are available in round or square and hard or soft versions. The soft glass fibre packings are manufactured from textured glass fibre threads. The surface consists of braided E-glass with a core of E-glass. This construction means that the packing is pressed together against the contact surface when it is closed, ensuring very tight sealing. The hard glass fibre packings are manufactured from textured E-glass fibre threads. The packing is braided and compact and has a solid E-glass surface, as well as a compact core of longgitudinal threads, also made of E-glass. This construction results in a very durable packing with strong resistance to mechanical stress. The hard packings can also be supplied with steel-reinforced ceramic fibres that can stand temperatures up to 1260°C. The packings are inorganic, sterile, fireproof, 100 % asbestos-free, and contain no toxins or heavy metals.
