17425 - 25mm Ceramic packing twisted

The basic material of 17425 consists of ceramic staple fibre yarns and a small quantity of organic fibres that decompose from about 200°C. These yarns are reinforced with steel wires (for 1250°C) in order to ensure that the mechanical strength is maintained up to high temperatures. Ceramic fibre products are 100% asbestos-free. 17425 is a soft, twisted ceramic packing. The packing consists of twisted ceramic fibre yarns with Inconel. Inconel is a thin steel wire that helps reinforce every single yarn of the packing. This structure results in a very soft and easily adjustable packing. The diameter is altered just by removing few yarns.
